LEXICON CERAMICS: A renowned Ceramics Brand exhibiting at Ceramic Expo 2019

The Indian Ceramic Market is well-known across the globe for its superior ceramic tiles and sanitary ware products. Today, the Morbi Cluster leads the major export of ceramic tiles from the Indian market. The entire credit is earned by the ceramic brand owners, who have constantly delivered the blend of exotic ceramic designs and quality to the buyers from across the globe.

The Ceramix Expo 2019 is back with a bang after two successful editions (2016 & 2017). This time the 40+ participated countries are showing up their interest and agenda with the International Expo. If we follow the news headlines, the expo is expecting buyers and exhibitors from 100+ major metro cities of the world. This year, the exhibition is going to be super-huge for the Morbi Cluster market, as they get to explore the business and commercial opportunities from renowned countries like Spain, USA, UK, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

We recently interviewed the owner of Lexicon Ceramics at Morbi, Gujarat; for knowing his journey as an entrepreneur in our very own Ceramic world. Lexicon Ceramics is India’s leading and largest ceramic tiles manufacturer with their specialization in high-quality digital wall tiles. Mr Narendra Patel, the founder and owner of Lexicon Ceramics, started his career as a salaried professional in the same industry and gave birth to the Lexicon brand in the year 2014. While talking to our interviewer, he mentioned about his automation skills that helped him for being technically sound in the said industry.

When asked about the Ceramic Competition then and now, Mr Patel replied in a jiffy; “2010 and 2014 already had healthy competition in the Ceramic industry but comparatively very less than 2019”. This helps us with an idea of the budding as well as established ceramic brands in the country today. We observed excellent vibes about the International Exhibitions from him, when he interestingly mentioned about how the international exhibitions increase the export of products in India. The Morbi Ceramic Cluster stands 2nd largest in the world after China. The Ceramix Expo is one of such platforms that help the Morbi Cluster to compete with the China market on the global platform.

Lexicon Ceramics follows all the International Quality Norms while manufacturing the tiles and fittings. Currently, the brand has 30% export share and 70% local market domination, which is improving and can be improved with the help of the International Ceramics Exhibition. The brand has Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Dubai, Kenya, Tanzania and African Countries as major exporters for buying ceramic tiles. It is a great success for any company to start its business with 10,000 Sq. metre production capacity in 2014 and expanding it to 20,000 Sq. metre in 2019.

While talking about the employees working in the unit, Mr Patel mentioned about 110 families that he is supporting with this huge ceramic plant. The company had a turnover of 28 Cr. in 2018-2019 and is hoping to increase the same with the Ceramix Expo 2019 in the following financial year. He appreciates many other leading Ceramic brands located in Morbi and readily welcomes the competition in a very healthy way.
